Established in 1978 by our current Managing Director Graham Horder Wimbledon Carriage Company quickly set ourselves apart as one the UK’S premier independent car dealers. Over the last 35 years we have worked hard to build a strong reputation as a professional car dealer supplying consistently high quality cars backed with excellent customer care whilst offering substantial savings on Main dealer prices.

We strive to offer a selection of the highest specification and more sought after examples of popular prestige marques available in the used car marketplace. We supply on average 100 cars per month so our stock is constantly changing, At any one time you will find over 80 fully prepared vehicles available for viewing at our showroom in Wimbledon, South London, all individually handpicked for condition and specification.

Our buyers cover the country on a daily basis searching for the very best examples of the makes and models of vehicles that we are looking to stock. We refuse to bulk buy, all our cars are selected individually based on condition and specification. During the last 35 years we have built strong relationships we many main dealers with many offering us first refusal on their non-franchise part exchanges.


Before even considering a vehicle for stock we check its provenance to ensure its exactly what we expect it to be with no hidden past. This guarantees there have been no major accident claims, there is No outstanding finance, The vehicle has not been stolen or cloned and No information relating to the vehicle has been recorded with the police. We also conduct an independent mileage check with the National Mileage Register. A copy of this check is included with all our cars.


On average our vehicles spend 8 hours at our in house preparation centre receiving a Full showroom valet. Body work is machine polished restoring it to as close to factory finish as possible, a protective Autoglym sealing polish is then applied. The interior is deep cleansed including the carpets and headlining to ensure it clean and fresh. Finally the rest of the interior and exterior is detailed resulting in a vehicle that if fully prepared to the standard you would expect from a main dealer. Any necessary alloy wheel refurbishment or body work repairs are also completed before the car is available for viewing.


All our cars are price checked daily, to ensure that we are competitively priced at all times. The prices advertised are fully inclusive of a full valet, 60 point vehicle inspection and any necessary servicing and repairs. There are no admin fees or other hidden charges. Price Match – if you can find the equivalent Make and model and registration, with equal or lower mileage and equal or higher specification for sale at a credible dealership within a 40 mile radius we will match the price. Please note we do not price match vehicles sold without premises or private sales. Vehicle Excise License (road tax) and Insurance should be arranged at customer’s expense.


As part of our quality criteria with our warranty partners all our cars are subjected to a full 60 point independent mechanical inspection prior to delivery. From checking the condition of the brakes and Tyres through to the stereo and climate control and everything in between ensuring all our cars are delivered in safe and roadworthy condition. If the vehicle fails to pass the Pre delivery Inspection on any element this is rectified at our expense before you collect the car. Our cars are supplied with a minimum of 6 months MOT and any servicing that is due is also completed at our expense.


We are fully FCA Registered and not tied to a specific lender, allowing us to work with a range of lenders across the market to ensure you have access to the best finance deal available for you. We can assist with arranging any funding you may require and can normally have a finance proposal progressed to a completed agreement in around 2 hours. There is no pressure to arrange finance through ourselves, if you have an existing finance provider/offer you would like to use to fund your new car we are happy to work with them. We can also settle any outstanding finance you may have. All finance is subject to status find out more about Finance


We work hard to make buying your new car as easy and stress free as possible – Customers often comment on the process being far easier than they expected – Just the way we like it! We can arrange road tax, take care of any personal registration you may wish to retain or transfer as well as supplying any extra items you may require such as towbars, additional security, window tints and entertainment packages. We offer comprehensive warranties for up to 3 years and we can even take care of your ongoing servicing requirements again with considerable savings on Main dealer labour rates.
